About Us

The Middle East Academy for Special Education is a distinguished educational and rehabilitation establishment that offers comprehensive services concerning that category by a specialized, well-experienced and high professional team.

The Academy is characterized by providing vocational training preparation to individuals up to sixty years old, where students are guided according to their abilities and interests to specialized programs that help develop their independence and skills.

Our Academy offers a boarding section which is distinguished by its family atmosphere and its multinational mix of students who come from various neighboring countries. Our boarding students are provided with full accommodations, staff care, and afternoon programs which are tailored according to their interests and capabilities.

To make life-changing differences in the lives of those with special needs and their families by using developed and updated comprehensive programs and by providing not only incomparable services but effectively beneficial programs that best suit each of those individual’s needs in such areas as intelligence levels and strategies for rehab and educational services. Quality of services is our emphasis based on the latest standards for this field.

The Academy Goals

  • Spread community awareness by providing training courses and workshops.

  • Provide learning activities through which students can strengthen motor skills, and sharpen their abilities in simple vocational endeavors.

  • Provide social and individualized health care for students.

  • Communicate with parents of children with special needs in order to offer them specialized consultations.

  • Provide speech diagnosis and training, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy.

  • Offer teaching and training services for individuals with special needs.

The Middle East Academy for Special Education is licensed by the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Health, certified and accredited by ISO 9001 and the standards by the Jordanian Upper council for disabled persons, and finally by the Jordanian Association for Special Needs and Rehabilitation.

The Academy’s Two Sections

The Academy consists of two major sections: The External and the Internal Section. The services provided by each section are outlined below.

The External Section

Comprises the school

Consists of:

  1. Classrooms are well-equipped.
  2. Fully equipped kitchen and dining hall facilities.
  3. Physiotherapy hall.
  4. Occupational therapy room.
  5. Speech and language training room.
  6. Vocational training room.
  7. CCTV room.
  8. Game room.
  9. Outdoor playground.
  10. Clinic.

The Internal Section

Comprises the housing facilities

Consists of:

  • Separate residential sections for men and women.

Each suite consists of:

  1. Five bedrooms.
  2. Salon/living room.
  3. Game room.
  4. Three bathrooms.

Academy Activities

The Academy provide different types of activities, for example:

  • A summer club is organized for a period of one and a half month and includes a variety of students recreational trips and educational outings which includes activities such as: swimming, horseback riding, walks in the parks, outdoor dining, amusement parks and park picnics.

  • Students are frequently taken to public playgrounds, both near the school neighborhood or in the outlying areas.

  • The Touch of Hanan is a committee set up by the school to provide parental support, lectures on different special needs topics, and to plan for special school activities and holiday events.

  • During the Holy Month of Ramadan, meal tents are set up for families, school staff, and with the company of students to join for the breaking of the fast.

  • Prince El Hassan Award, Bronze level.

First let me say thank you, you forgiving me the privilege of volunteering along side this amazing staff who truly are committed to these patients / young men and women.

Their patience and professionalism are above reproach, one of the first thing that struck me was the absolute cleanliness of the academy, everyone helps everyone for the common goal of protecting loving and guiding these Angels.
